| The machines are based on the vertical storage principle but do not rotate, a central automated extractor selects the appropriate storage tray and delivers it to the access level for the operator, the tray is either left in the picking zone internally or can come fully out of the unit and onto a mechanically latched transport wagon allowing the tray to be taken away from the machine to production etc.
Photoelectric sensors form a sizing gate at the entry port, a defined distance is not required to be set for the anticipated maximum load height as the tray and products are scanned at entry and automatically located in the unit to the most efficient storage position maximising the cube available. The machine is programmed to accept any size loads from 75mm to 800mm on a 25mm increment and locate the tray to the same position if the product height remains unchanged, or to a smaller or larger slot position accordingly. The machine frames are populated with tray support arms at 75mm intervals in its height to allow this. If such a position is not available it will reject the load back to the operator.
Total loading is up to 20,000Kg on a 250Kg tray, 30,000 Kg on a 500Kg tray and 45,000Kg on a 750kg tray. The system can have multiple access ports including opposite sides. Height of 2,250mm minimum to 12,000mm maximum. Tray sizes can be manufactured to suit the product. |
